Project Muttonchops is a social mystery game and requires a fair amount of UI, delivering players with the information while not being annoying in VR is a challenge. In previous builds we just had the UI all over the place and it really overwhelmed players especially when first starting out. Usability in Muttonchops is extremely important and we didn’t want anything that would would be too intrusive in the game but text readability can be bad on devices especially on older low dpi phones. I ended up using a design of a clipboard that comes more into view when the player looks at it, this allows the UI to be large and also not be intrusive.
